Well I’ve never seen the Brighton parade, but in Belfast and Dublin, the parade, at its best, is just really wacky and glamorous and full of music and just great.

I think that it’s important to have a day that shows that we are here, but I think that it’s increasingly becoming less of a political event and more of a just a big party, which annoys me a bit. I think that Pride only works when it is about representation and visibility and inclusivity. The way that it is essentially just becoming a big festival, is a bit of a shame I think.
