“I’m still actually quite new, to be completely honest, it hasn’t been long”

Transcription

My pronoun is he or they.

I have come from the sunny town of Worthing.

I am gay definitely. I’m still actually quite new, to be completely honest, it hasn’t been long.

Especially in Brighton, I do feel at home and part of it. When I wasn’t LGBTQ+, or didn’t feel LGBTQ+, or questioning, I felt that the LGBTQ+ community was being bombarded with threats.

I come from South East London and there everyone is quite literally the term, ‘that sounds gay’, ‘gay, gay, gay’ Being used in a negative phrase, is really common in teenagers. I’m being shouted at being called gay from the skate-park and having to return that with some sort of either ‘you’re straight’ or you’re something else you know.

It’s sad but in Brighton it’s common and I like that and the fact that its in a positive manner.
