With my gender identity, it’s something I’ve always contemplated, but I’ve never had the words to be able to describe what I’m feeling. Being part of this project has opened my mind to identities out there that I didn’t know existed. So I’m trying them on to see how they fit.
I’ve started using they/them pronouns, but not in all situations. I use them in my group and on my placement, because that was related to the group and some of my friends know about it, but it’s not something I use in school or anything. I don’t know how I’d explain it to my parents, so I’ve just kind of left that one.
